Freelance Connections is owned and managed by Zoe Yarker and Pam Harris.

 

What makes us Different?

 

Most independent VA’s have a small skill set and focus on these only, and when they are on holiday or sick they won’t necessarily have cover for this.  Then you have the large companies that provide VA’s that are office based, which have a multitude of skills but they don’t have the personal touch.

 

We do have the personal touch and pride ourselves on building good relationships with our clients, we like to meet them as often as possible and encourage them to call us when they need to talk, as some of them are also lone workers and its hard sometimes to get new ideas and let of steam when you are talking to yourself.  And between us we cover a huge skill set, we also outsource some work to other people and companies that we have alliances with.

 

We have a great infrastructure and this enables us to communicate well which each other and our clients, we can also offer this as a service to our clients enabling them to have access to an Exchange Service so email and sharing diaries, task lists and contacts is easier and just like working in an office.

 

You work most of your life and therefore you should try and enjoy it!!  We love what we do and are extremely passionate about it and because of that it shows in our work and we think that’s what makes us different from the rest…

Secretarial / PA

 

·          Typing up / Formatting Word documents using your company logos, fonts, styles etc.  Inserting Tables of Contents, formatting the headers and footers.  Inserting tables, graphs and images.

·          Creating Excel spreadsheets using MS Excel.  Inputting the data, applying formulas and filters, creating graphs and charts.  We already have some templates that can be manipulated to suite your needs.

·          Creating PowerPoint presentations, customising the animation, inserting company logos, images, graphs and charts.  Printing handouts.

·          Creating Databases using MS Access.  Creating simple forms and queries.

·          Data Entry.  Typing business cards into an Excel spreadsheet or any other list you require.

·          Diary Management.  Sharing calendars in Outlook we can book appointments, confirm them and generally manage your diary.

·          Travel arrangements.  Booking business flights and hotels or the family holiday.

·          Email filtering.  Sharing Outlook profiles we can filter your emails and deal with the everyday ones while you focus on other work.

·          Customer follow up.  Look after your clients, answer any everyday questions, take messages so that there is always someone there to answer they emails quickly.

·          Event Planning.  We can book and organise any event for you, personal or business.  We will even help getting people to attend and can attend to do the meet and greet for you.

Book Keeping

 

·          Raising and send your Invoices using your accounts package or a template in Word.

·          Entering your receipts into your accounts package or an Excel spreadsheet.

·          Credit Control.  Chasing your overdue Invoices either being flagged up by your accounts package or you emailing a list of invoices to chase once a week.

·          Sending monthly statements, by post, email or both.

·          Bank reconciliation, we can either do this using your accounts package or send us paper statements and excel spreadsheets and we will do it manually.

·          VAT Returns, doing this either through your accounts package or your spreadsheets we will file online or paper.

·          Year End Accounts.  We will prepare all the necessary reports and send to your accountant to prepare your Year End Accounts.

Marketing / Business Development

 

·          Mail shots.  Either paper or email, we will help format, adding your company logos etc., and send your mail shots.

·          E Newsletters.  Using various online packages we will format and send your monthly, bi monthly or quarterly e Newsletter.  If you are not already doing this we will help set it up and import all your contacts into the package you choose.

·          Design.  We can help organise any design work you have e.g. letterheads, postcards brochures.

Business Development

 

·          Internet and Telephone Research.  We will research your target market and find good quality leads.

·          Telemarketing.  We can either call from a list you provide or create one to start from.

·          Prospecting.  We will warm up the leads, build a good relationship with them and keep in contact with them regularly until they are ready to order.

Website Design

 

·          New exciting Website designs.  We produce unique website designs, each individually created for the customer. There will never be another website design like yours. We don't make them from templates and you'll certainly never find anyone else with such a singular web presence.

·          Content Management Systems.  We provide Content Managed Websites so you can keep your website up-to-date.

·          Website Maintenance.  Not only do we design gorgeous websites, but we maintain and develop them as well.

IT Support

 

·          IT Support service.  Our service is reliable and quoted by service level.

·          Exchange Server.  We can host your emails on an Exchange Server so that your can use the out of office assistant and share calendars, task and inboxes with other people.

·          IT supplies.  We have good rates with suppliers and can sometimes get supplies for you cheaper.
